PROJECTS
01
WEBSITE REDESIGN,
COTTINGHAM & BUTLER
Cottingham & Butler underwent an enormous digital transformation in 2024, redesigning and relaunching their corporate website. Throughout the process, I was responsible for generating new and engaging collateral for users to download, capturing updated photos and video of the C&B team, and writing impactful stories and descriptions of the company's charitable activities, internship program, and business differentiators.
02
Event photography, Transportation Summit
The Transportation Summit, held annually by Cottingham & Butler in Chicago, IL, draws over 500+ attendees annually. As the digital marketing coordinator for the firm, I was tasked with capturing photos and videos of the event, recording attendee testimonials, and creating live coverage content for social media.
03
Video production,
Transportation summit
To increase registration and build excitement for the annual Transportation Summit event hosted by Cottingham & Butler, I produced and edited a "hype" video distributed through social media, email, and additional corporate channels.
04
Video Production,
National Sales Meeting
During Cottingham & Butler's annual National Sales Meeting, I coordinated interviews with team members and captured b-roll to produce a recap of the event. The video was distributed across all organizational digital channels to help build brand awareness, emphasize the firm's commitment to training, and increase recruitment efforts.
05
Video production,
C&B Better Initiative
To promote the success of Cottingham & Butler's annual internal giving program and encourage participation, I captured footage from the program's end of year event, editing a video to circulate internally. I then created an alternative cut that could be distributed externally to highlight the organization's charitable giving.
06
Video Production,
Captive Campaign
As part of a campaign to generate interest in Cottingham & Butler's captive insurance offerings, I worked with the organization's in-house marketing team to coordinate interviews with several active captive clients to speak to the structure and benefits of the captive program, subsequently editing a series of videos that were circulated through email and social media.
07
Social Media Management,
Cottingham & Butler
To better reach the target demographics of the firm’s core practices and wholesale branches, I established and managed five distinct social media pages, successfully increasing the company’s social audience by over 4,400 followers.
08
social media management, public policy center
As communications coordinator for the Public Policy Center at the University of Iowa, I was tasked with reviving their social presence to aid in the promotion of any recently published work by faculty affiliates. By establishing a consistent posting schedule, monitoring engagement analytics, and refreshing the center's approach to social media graphic design, I increased the center's average engagement rate across all active pages from 6% to 12.54%.
09
PRINT COLLATERAL,
PUBLIC POLICY CENTER
The Public Policy Center, which transitioned to a new organizational name in 2024, required the creation of new print collateral to promote and describe their core mission and available research services. Following University of Iowa brand guidelines, I designed and wrote content for a basic brochure that could be used in meetings with faculty and external stakeholders.
10
BRAND & WEBSITE RELAUNCH,
Public Policy Center / Center for social science innovation
The Public Policy Center officially transitioned to a new center name and brand in September of 2024. As communications coordinator, I spearheaded the redesign and content creation for the new center's website, building pages and components within the Drupal platform which is used by all organizations across the University of Iowa. I collaborated with the center's leadership to determine an effective primary navigation, drafted and finalized all webpage content, composed page structures, and finally launched with the assistance of the university's ITS team on September 23rd, 2024. The new website can be explored here.

Brand creation,
gene & Jack
While completing my master's at Drake University, I took a course on visual communication. As part of the curriculum, we were tasked with creating a faux brand in the industry of our choosing. I'd recently begun boxing with a friend and used that new hobby as inspiration for developing "Gene & Jack." I conducted research to inform the brand's vision, cultivated design standards including typefaces, color palettes, and logo variations. Using these elements, I created mock-ups of the company's "products" and developed a written voice that I felt reflected the brand's attitude.
